A Tryal of Witches was a piece of new writing commissioned for the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds. An all-female cast performed multiple roles, retelling the story of witch trials which were held in Bury St Edmunds in the 17th century. There were onstage costume changes and close-harmony singing during scene changes. It was a pleasure to return to the theatre for such an interesting project.

Review Quotes
Brown’s compelling theatrical remembrance to the women – and men – who died is a brilliant bit of programming.
