The Deputy Stage Manager is responsible for attending rehearsals and calling the show, ensuring cues for lights, sound, technical effects and actors are executed on time.
Responsibilities
- Support the Director & Stage Manager in coordinating rehearsals and scheduling efficiently.
- Attend all rehearsals, creating rehearsal notes which are distributed to the creative team.
- Create and maintain the prompt copy, documenting all cues and changes for the production.
- Call cues for lighting, sound, technical effects and actors during performances.
- Oversee backstage operations and ensure smooth performance transitions.
- Ensure communication between departments to maintain performance consistency.
