The Assistant Stage Manager supports the Stage Manager by handling backstage operations and props during rehearsals and performances.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Stage Manager & Deputy Stage Manager with tasks as required during rehearsals.
  • Create basic versions of props to use in rehearsals.
  • Source and make actual versions of props which are approved by the director & designer.
  • Create organised and tidy props tables for prop storage backstage.
  • Ensure backstage areas are organised and safe for performances.
